Produce Box Packing Volunteer
Help us pack fresh, colorful produce for our community markets! Volunteers prepare market boxes by filling them with a variety of fruits and vegetables, then assembling and stacking them on pallets for distribution. Join us behind the scenes and make a big impact—one box at a time!
Responsibilities:
- Pack items into boxes according to the provided list
- Assemble boxes in order, making sure all items are included
- Close boxes securely and stack them neatly on pallets
- Work together with other volunteers to keep the process smooth and efficient
Skills / Preferences:
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Detail-oriented to ensure each box is complete
- Able to follow instructions and maintain organization
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, lifting, and packing throughout the shift
- Lifting and moving boxes (approximately 20–50 lbs)
- Repetitive movement during packing and stacking
Requirements / Notes:
- Age: 18+
- Dress: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes; gloves required (provided)
- Environment: Indoor, high-energy environment; may be loud due to music and acoustics. Volunteers sensitive to sound may wish to bring earplugs or earbuds
- Teamwork: Be flexible; roles and tasks may shift based on need
