Benevolent Box Setup Volunteer
Help prepare for the Home Delivery Program by getting everything ready for the Benevolent Box packing shift. This behind-the-scenes role ensures the packing process runs smoothly and that fresh food can be delivered efficiently to neighbors in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Adjust tables to match the setup shown on the whiteboard (if needed)
- Ensure tabletops are clean and ready for food packing; wipe down surfaces as needed
- Label grocery bags with participants’ names and household numbers (HH#)
- Lay out and tape packing profiles to tables
- Place labeled bags next to corresponding packing profiles and open the bags
- Assist with organizing dry goods for Benevolent Boxes
- Help keep the workspace organized and ready for the packing shift
Skills / Preferences:
- Detail-oriented and able to follow setup instructions
- Comfortable working independently or with a small team
- Organized and efficient
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and moving throughout the shift
- Light lifting and moving supplies (up to 30–40 lbs)
- Occasional table movement
Requirements / Notes:
- Age: 18+
- Dress: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
- Environment: Indoor warehouse space with light activity; tasks may vary depending on daily needs
- Teamwork: Be flexible; roles and tasks may shift based on need
