Berry Sorting Volunteer

Help prepare fresh berries for community programs. Volunteers on this shift sort rescued berries to ensure only high-quality produce is distributed to participants.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and remove damaged or spoiled berries to maintain quality
• Place sorted berries into designated containers for distribution
• Work as part of a team to prepare berries efficiently
• Help keep the sorting area clean and organized throughout the shift

Skills / Preferences:

• Detail-oriented and able to focus on quality
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Enjoys hands-on, repetitive tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods
• Repetitive hand movements during sorting
• Minimal lifting required

Requirements / Notes:

• Dress: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes; gloves required (provided)
• Environment: Indoor, high-energy environment; may be loud due to music and acoustics. Volunteers sensitive to sound may wish to bring earplugs or earbuds
• Teamwork: Be flexible; roles and tasks may shift based on need
