Market Support Volunteer (Pre- & At-Market)
Help make fresh, healthy food accessible at our community markets! Volunteers in this role assist both before and during the market to ensure everything runs smoothly, from loading the truck to helping participants at the market.
Responsibilities:
- Start at the Bounty & Soul Hub to help load the Mobile Farmer’s Market Truck
- Travel to the ArtSpace Market and help set up stations and supplies
- Support participants at the market, including organizing boxes, restocking, or assisting with distribution as needed
- Help maintain a friendly, welcoming environment for all participants and volunteers
Skills / Preferences:
- Comfortable with hands-on work and lifting heavy items
- Friendly, approachable, and willing to assist wherever needed
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, and moving throughout the shift
- Lifting and maneuvering boxes and supplies (30–50 lbs) unassisted
- Repetitive movement during setup and restocking
Requirements / Notes:
- Age: 16+ with an adult; 18+ volunteering independently
- Dress: Closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes suitable for lifting and outdoor conditions
- Environment: This market operates outdoors; volunteers must be willing to work in all weather conditions
- Teamwork: Be flexible; roles and tasks may vary depending on need
