Love Notes Volunteer

Spread joy through handmade notes for our community! Volunteers on this shift tap into their creative side by making hand-crafted cards filled with encouragement and support. These heartfelt notes are included in Market Boxes, adding a personal touch that brightens participants’ days.

Responsibilities:

Create original, positive notes and cards for inclusion in Market Boxes Use available materials—crayons, colored pencils, markers, stickers, washi tape, and more—to decorate and personalize your creations Follow general guidelines: avoid political or religious content, but otherwise be creative and have fun Work in a relaxed, collaborative group environment

Skills / Preferences:

Creative and enjoys arts and crafts Able to work collaboratively in a group setting Detail-oriented in making thoughtful, uplifting notes

Physical Requirements:

Seated, low-physical-activity shift Minimal lifting or movement

Requirements / Notes:

Age: 14+ with a parent/guardian; 16+ independently Dress: Comfortable clothing suitable for arts and crafts Volunteers are encouraged to express creativity freely; optional guidance such as inspirational quotes or connection questions may be provided

Pet Food Pick-Up Volunteer

Help deliver pet food to families in need! Volunteers on this shift pick up pet food from the Asheville Humane Society and deliver it to the Bounty & Soul hub for distribution. Your efforts ensure pets in our community have the food they need.

Responsibilities:

Arrive at the Asheville Humane Society between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Mondays Load pet food carefully into your vehicle Transport and deliver pet food safely to the Bounty & Soul hub at 1038 Old US 70, Black Mountain Ensure all items arrive intact and ready for distribution

Skills / Preferences:

Responsible and careful with handling items Comfortable driving and transporting goods Able to follow delivery instructions and schedules

Physical Requirements:

Lifting and moving pet food (moderate weight) Standing and walking during loading and unloading

Requirements / Notes:

One volunteer can sign up per week Vehicle capable of transporting pet food (car, SUV, or truck) is required Age: 16+
